REIWA

Renovation gurus and Block faves Ronnie and Georgia Caceres have wrapped up their 16th renovation project, with their Palm Springs-inspired Embleton house flip now up for sale on reiwa.com.

When it comes to selling a home, presentation is crucial to a successful outcome – not unlike choosing the perfect outfit a job interview.

“A well-styled home not only showcases its full potential but also helps buyers imagine themselves in the space and make an emotional connection to it,” Georgia said.

“It was the final piece of the puzzle for our renovation. Ronnie and I wanted to create a space that not only reflects our style but also resonates with buyers.”

Few do it better than Ronnie and Georgia, who exclusively reveal their top tips on reiwa.com.

Styling to sell

Consider the impact of paint colours on the overall feel of the space. A fresh coat of paint in a light, neutral tone can make rooms feel brighter, more spacious and more inviting.

When arranging furniture, aim for a layout that maximises space and allows for easy movement throughout the room. Consider using mirrors strategically to reflect light and create the illusion of more space.

If your home has unique architectural features or design elements, make sure to highlight them. This could include a fireplace, built-in shelving, or your very own “Ron-lux” skylight!

Clearing clutter is essential. Remove personal items such as family photos and knick-knacks to create a more neutral canvas that allows buyers to picture themselves living in the space. Pay attention to storage areas such as closets and cabinets, ensuring they are tidy and well-organised.

It’s not just the inside that matters, styling the exterior of your property is equally important. It can be as simple as a table setting and some lights to make your outdoor space feel inviting, creating a welcoming and memorable area for potential buyers.

Working with a smaller budget

If you’re working with a limited budget, focus on low-cost improvements that can have a big impact. Decluttering and deep cleaning are key first steps that can instantly improve the look and feel of your home and don’t cost a cent.

Add some life and colour to a space by incorporating indoor plants into your home decor. They are a cost-effective way to add a vibrant touch and natural element to make the space feel more inviting. Choose hardy plants that thrive indoors and require minimal maintenance.

Consider investing in a few key pieces of furniture or accessories to freshen up the space. A new floor rug, throw pillows, or artwork can help to update the look of a room without breaking the bank.

To save on paint costs, consider painting only the most visible areas, such as the walls in the main living areas. Alternatively, consider using paint as a feature with an accent wall or cabinets, to add interest to a room without the need for expensive decor.
