Between 2020 and 2022 the Rosebud Foreshore Master Plan went out for extensive community consultation including workshops with key stakeholders. It became clear that the proposed changes outlined were not wholly supported by the community. As a result, we will not be pursuing the proposed version of the Rosebud Foreshore Master Plan Refresh.
We acknowledge that the Rosebud foreshore is loved by both locals and visitors. We recognise the need to protect buildings and nature from future erosion and impacts from climate change, such as rising sea levels and storm surges so our community can continue to enjoy this space in the future. We are currently developing the Our Coast Our Future Coastal Strategy in line with the State Government’s Victorian Resilient Coast Framework.
While the Our Coast Our Future is being developed, we will continue to maintain and update existing infrastructure as outlined in the Rosebud Coastal Marine Management Plan 2015.
