Penrith City Council has completed the Sales Park playspace upgrade, adding a new outdoor fitness and multi-play area that was selected by the community.
The new play and outdoor exercise equipment complements the existing swing set, accessible rocker and shade sails, showcasing Council’s ongoing program to create modern and inclusive playspaces across the City.
Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said the upgrade to Sales Park is an exciting highlight for the Luddenham community.
“The enhanced playspace provides the community with a dynamic environment designed for families and children of all ages to play, keep active and enjoy,” said Cr Carney.
“With the help of our community in choosing the design of the new play and fitness equipment, we’re delivering playspaces which appeal to families with kids to promote a healthy lifestyle of active and outdoor play.”
Sales Park upgrades feature:
- A multi-play unit with climbing features and slides
- A nest swing
- Balance elements
- Imaginative play and musical panels
- Outdoor fitness equipment, featuring an aerobic walker, body twist, pull-up bar station and shoulder press.
Member for Badgerys Creek, Tanya Davies MP was delighted to support the installation of the health and fitness equipment at Sales Park.
“I will continue to advocate for funding for improved facilities to support a social and active community.”
This project was funded by the Penrith City Council and the NSW Government.
