New Century Resources Limited (Company or New Century) (ASX:NCZ) is pleased to announce
the initiation of slurry commissioning of the upgraded scavenger circuit, allowing the full capacity
of this section of the processing plant to be incorporated into operations for the first time.
The scavenger circuit upgrade was delivered on budget and three weeks ahead of schedule, with
the achievement representing the second milestone of the scheduled ramp up to 12Mtpa throughput
over FY20 (see Figure 3). The third and final ramp up milestone, upgrading the rougher circuit,
remains on track for planned completion in March 2020 (see Figure 4).

The upgraded scavenger circuit is anticipated to provide continued improvement to overall plant
performance, with the increase in residence time providing further optimisation of throughput,
recoveries and concentrate quality. With recent operational rates approaching 9Mtpa, the 100%
increase in scavenger capacity will provide substantial flexibility in this area of the plant, noting
that only an additional ~25% throughput is required to bring operations to 12Mtpa.

New Century will provide an update on operational progress in approximately one month, once
slurry commissioning and initial optimisation of the full scavenger circuit is further advanced.
