Westgate Highway Patrol officers are appealing for information after a hit-run collision in Altona Meadows last night.
Police have been told the unregistered scooter collided with a cyclist on Laverton Creek Trail near Victoria Street about 6.30pm
Officers were told two men riding the scooter didn’t stop at the scene and ran from the crash on foot northbound towards Victoria Street.
The cyclist, a 51-year-old Laverton man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators have released images of items left behind at the scene which include a silver SYM brand scooter, a red and black helmet and a silver metal chain necklace.
