Sealing of LL Road and Armytage Road in Officer now complete

Works to seal LL Road and Armytage Road in Officer are now complete.

The works are part of Cardinia Shire Council’s $25 million Better Local Roads – Strategic Sealed Roads Project and includes the completion of construction of an interim seal on Brown Rd (from Armytage Road to Starling Road), to connect LL Road and Armytage Road to the existing sealed road network.

Pavement construction, kerb and channel, as well as drainage works, have been completed as part of the project.

Council’s Better Local Roads – Strategic Sealed Roads Project will seal approximately 40 kilometres of local unsealed roads in seven locations across the municipality.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jeff Springfield said the sealing of these roads played a significant role in building a better Cardinia Shire by helping to improve the lives of residents in the area.

“The Better Local Roads Strategic Sealed Roads Project is creating strategic links to existing sealed roads in locations where they are needed most, and where they will deliver the most benefit.” Cr Springfield said.

“The sealing of Officer’s LL Road and Armytage Road provides a key link between other major roads in the area. I’m so excited to see these works complete and hope to see local road users benefiting from this project.”
