Search Is On For Victoria’s Best Exporters

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Governor of Victoria Export Awards (GOVEA), recognising Victoria’s most forward-thinking exporters.

Now in their fortieth year, the GOVEAs are open to all Victorian exporting businesses regardless of size or location.

Businesses will be judged on strategic export growth instead of purely on international sales value.

In 2018, the top award went to cancer diagnostics manufacturer Leica Biosystems who also took out the Victorian Women in International Business award.

The Andrews Labor Government is working with local businesses to help them connect with opportunities and partners across the world.

Exports make a significant contribution to the Victorian economy, reaching a record high of $55.1 billion in 2018 – a 30 per cent rise since 2014.

Applications are open until July, with the 2019 GOVEA winners to be announced at a ceremony in October.
