Second man charged after stabbing of Casino teenager, NSW

Strike force detectives have charged a second man in relation to the alleged stabbing death of a teenage boy in the state’s Northern Rivers region earlier this year.

About 1.20am on Saturday (25 June 2022), emergency services were called to a home on McDougall Street, Casino, after reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Richmond Police District attended and located a 17-year-old with stab wounds to his neck. He died at the scene.

Local detectives formed Strike Force Linford to investigate the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.

An 18-year-old man has been charged in relation to this incident; he remains before the courts.

Following further investigations, an 18-year-old man attended Lismore Police Station yesterday (Wednesday 12 October 2022), where he was arrested by strike force detectives.

He was charged with conceal serious indictable offence and was granted conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court on Monday 28 November 2022.
