Second man charged over assault of ride-share driver in Kellyville

A second man has been charged over the alleged assault of a ride-share driver in Sydney’s north west yesterday.

About 3.10am (Sunday 18 April 2021), police responded to reports of a fight between two men on Nullabor Street, North Kellyville.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command attended and found a 27-year-old man unconscious in the street suffering a head injury; police rendered assistance until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived. He was taken to Westmead Hospital where he’s reported to be in a stable condition.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the alleged incident.

Following further inquiries, a 22-year-old man was arrested at Castle Hill Police Station yesterday afternoon.

The North Kellyville man was charged with common assault and affray and was given bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on 5 May 2021.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
