Second man charged over sexual touching of teenage girl in Western Sydney

Police have charged a second man after the alleged sexual touching of a teenage girl on a train in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 1pm (Wednesday 4 November 2020), a 15-year-old girl was at Penrith Railway Station when she was approached by two men and allegedly accompanied them on a train and travelled into the City.

Police will allege when the group left the train at Central Railway Station, the men purchased alcohol and shared it with the girl.

The group then boarded a train at Central Railway Station towards Blacktown. While inside the carriage one of the men allegedly sexually touched the young girl before they all alighted at Blacktown Railway Station at 7.45pm.

Members of the public offered the girl assistance after observing her with the two men, before executing a citizen’s arrest.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended and arrested a 32-year-old man. He was taken to Blacktown Police Station before being taken to Blacktown Hospital for treatment for an arm injury.

The girl was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for monitoring.

The 32-year-old man was released from hospital and taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with intentionally sexually touch child.

He was refused bail to appear in Blacktown Local Court today (Thursday 5 November 2020).

Following inquiries, a 38-year-old man was arrested at a house in Craig Street, Blacktown about 4.00pm today (Thursday 5 November 2020).

The man was taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with Intentionally Sexually Touch Child Aged between 10 and 16.

He was released on strict conditional bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday 6 January 2021.
