Geir O. Pedersen, Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Syria, and Edem Wosornu, Director of Operations and Advocacy, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, will brief the Security Council this morning on recent developments in the country.
The representatives of Syria, Tunisia and Iran, as well as Espen Barth Eide, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Norway, and Nuh Yilmaz, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, will participate in the meeting under Rule 37 of the Council’s Provisional Rules of Procedure.
