A sense of friendship and community belonging will be front of mind for City of Logan seniors when a popular annual event returns next month.

The Logan Seniors Big Day Out will take over the Logan Entertainment Centre from 9am to 3pm on Friday, October 6 in celebration of Queensland Seniors month.

The free event will feature a range of experiences and activities including:

  • breathwork meditation classes
  • paint and sip sessions
  • social boardgames
  • head and hand massages
  • manicures and pedicures
  • gentle movement classes

Lifestyle Chair Cr Tony Hall said Logan Seniors Big Day Out is proof that age is no barrier to maintaining a social and active lifestyle.

“It’s always great to see our senior residents come together and enjoy the friendships and experiences that events like this offer,” Cr Hall said.

Division 2 Councillor Teresa Lane looks forward to welcoming seniors to the Logan Entertainment Centre.

“The Logan Seniors Big Day Out seems to get bigger and better every year,” Cr Lane said.

The event features two ticketed performances of Somewhere over the Rainbow: A Judy Garland Tribute at 10am and 2pm. Tickets are from $5.
