Series Of Scrub Fires In Hamilton Hill

Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating a series of four scrub fires in the Hamilton Hill area that occurred on Thursday 29 February and Friday 1 March 2024.

Details of the fires are:

1. Fire started about 9.40pm on Thursday on Plantagenet Crescent;

2. Fire started about 5.25pm on Friday on Blackwood Avenue;

3. Fire started about 7.40pm on Friday on Plantagenet Crescent; and

4. Fire started about 8.35pm on corner of Blackwood Avenue and Isted Avenue.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel attended and extinguished each of the fires before they could threaten homes. The cause of the fires are being treated as suspicious.

Strike Force Vulcan officers wish to speak anyone who saw any suspicious people, vehicles, or activity in the fire areas. Anyone with any information relating to these fires is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
