As stated by Bay of Plenty Acting District Commander Inspector Logan Marsh
Police have responded to a serious incident in Rotorua overnight and will continue to have a visible presence in the area today.
Emergency services were called to a Glenholme address at about 10.30pm.
The community can expect a visible Police presence in the area while Police carry out enquiries. Cordons and a scene guard remain in place, however there is no threat to the wider community.
