Police responded to a serious incident in Taupiri this morning.
One person was injured in the vicinity of Te Putu Street and Greenlane Road at around 9:30am.
A nearby school was placed in lockdown as a precaution.
There will be an increased Police presence in the area while the investigation is ongoing.
