Serious traffic crash in Surfers Paradise, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious two vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Surfers Paradise last night, February 3.

Initial information indicates at approximately 7.20pm, a Toyota Hilux and a motorcycle collided at the intersection of Ferny Avenue and Ocean Avenue.

The motorcycle rider, a 41-year-old Surfers Paradise man, sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the Hilux was not physically injured and is assisting police with inquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision or CCTV to come forward.
