We are counting down to our next CoCreate event on June 3 – expect a celebration of light, colour and sizzling performances.
From fire twirling to flow art, three music stage shows and of course a little bit of magic, our winter CoCreate event will inspire you to ward off the winter chill through a creative combination of moving and grooving.
Taking to the stage first will be well-known local sibling duo, Zac and Eliza Spalding, who are looking forward to warming up the stage with their range of acoustic country and pop music.
Zac, 18, and Eliza, 20, have played at many pubs and festivals in the region including the Deni Ute Muster, Tumbafest and The Man from Snowy River festival.
Last November, Zac won the Australian national busking championship in Cooma and, just last weekend, the duo took out a special judge’s award at this year’s regional busking competition at Rutherglen.
“We are looking forward to CoCreate, it should be a nice gig with a good family-friendly atmosphere,” Zac said.
Albury band Mt Maze will take to the stage next with their catchy alternative rock music that’s sure to get the crowd’s attention.
The band is made up of Albury fellas Adam Tollis (vocals), Nathan Tollis (drummer), Grady Nigsch (lead guitar), Nick Musarra (rhythm guitar) and Shane Ellwood (bass guitar) who formed about a year ago.
Gaining confidence at local open mic nights, the boys began gigging regularly around town and gradually started playing shows out of town stretching from Melbourne to Wollongong.
Having shared stages with the likes of The Smith Street Band, Press Club, Kingswood, The Exciles and Nicky Bomba, the boys are riding a high and are stoked to be playing at CoCreate.
“It’s always fun playing at a new spot, so we are keen to perform at CoCreate and get our music out there,” rhythm guitarist Nick Musarra said.
“We have some original songs and some covers that we have been working on that we are looking forward to playing.”
The stage entertainment keeps coming with Cherry Chain set to take to the stage from 6pm.
The Albury rock band features a one-of-a-kind vocalist, Olivia Britton accompanied by Josh Quinn on guitar, Jayden Lehmann on bass guitar, Jack Mills on guitar and Blake Furness on drums.
The versatile pop rock band will perform a range of popular covers.
Cherry Chain has quickly earned a reputation for its quality sound and stage presence.
“Olivia has a stage presence that just has to be seen, she draws the audience in and her next to Josh Quinn is just next level,” drummer Blake Furness said.
“We are looking forward to playing two original songs and getting our name out there further.”
Blake said, as a local primary school teacher, his students couldn’t attend the gigs the band played at pubs but was looking forward to seeing some of his students in the crowd.
Outdoor heating, warm drinks and a range of tasty food offerings will help to keep visitors warm and comfortable as the entertainment unfolds between 4pm and 8pm.

The family-friendly event is fully licensed (no BYO alcohol) and food and drink is available to purchase, or you can bring your own food.
