Severe Weather and Service Update

Current information as of 2.00pm, Thursday 3 March 2022

Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) – The BoM has removed its severe weather warning for the South Coast. The current East Coast low is forecast to weaken later this evening. Minor flooding is continuing at Nowra, Terara and in parts along the Shoalhaven River. Stay up to date with the latest BoM weather and flood warnings.

Local Road Closures – Some local roads are closed due to flooding and damage. Visit our Local Live Traffic map for live updates on local traffic conditions. Motorists are reminded to never drive through floodwater, always follow the directions of emergency services and take extreme care as conditions are changing quickly.

Shoalhaven Water Dam Levels (8.00am, 3/3/2022)

  • Bamarang Dam – 7mm below Top Water Level (TWL)
  • Danjera Dam –Not known due to loss of power
  • Porters Creek Dam – 98mm above TWL
  • Tallowa Dam (Water NSW owned) – 2140mm above TWL
  • Cambewarra Dam – 680mm above TWL

Culburra Beach Water Quality Warning – Residents are advised to not swim, surf, or beach fish between Crookhaven Lighthouse, in the north, and Bull Hole Lookout, in the south at Kinghorne due to the uncontrollable risk of pollution from stormwater and sewerage systems.
