Australian rock favourite Shannon Noll to feature at new mid-week street party on Wednesday 14 October.The additional event will bring Todd Street to life and support local businesses as Alice Springs welcomes athletes and supporters from across the country.The Finocchiaro CLP Government is backing sport and major events to restore the Territory lifestyle and grow the visitor economy.
The Alice Springs Masters Games is turning up the volume this year, with Shannon Noll set to headline a brand-new street party in the heart of Alice Springs.
Noll will take the stage on Wednesday 14 October 2026, as Todd Street comes alive with live music, family entertainment and a celebration of the Red Centre.
Minister for Tourism and Hospitality and Minister for Major Events, Marie-Clare Boothby said the new event would add even more energy to an already iconic week.
“The Alice Springs Masters Games are a Territory favourite, and in their 40th year we are making them bigger and better than ever,” Minister Boothby said.
“Bringing Nollsie to Alice Springs for a new street party gives competitors, supporters and locals another reason to get out, celebrate and enjoy everything the Red Centre has to offer.”
Local Member for Braitling, Joshua Burgoyne, said that local families and businesses were looking forward to welcoming athletes, supporters, and spectators to Alice Springs.
“This year’s ‘Friendly Games’ are putting Central Australia on show with a jam-packed week of events, including the new street party – encouraging people to get out and support the tourism, hospitality, and retail operators who make the Red Centre such an amazing place,” he said.
“I have fond memories of competing in the short course triathlon in 2024, and I can’t wait to see locals and visitors getting involved, cheering on the athletes and experiencing everything our great region has to offer. “
Shannon Noll’s performance adds to a strong entertainment line-up, with the Opening Ceremony to feature Baby Animals, Choirboys and local Territory talent. The award-winning singer-songwriter said he was “really looking forward to getting out to Alice Springs” for the Masters Games.
“I love travelling across the country to perform for my long-standing fans, and it’s going to be a ripper of a gig!” Mr Noll said.
The street party will be delivered with support from Alice Springs Town Council and will feature live entertainment, market stalls and the iconic Masters Mile, now open to all ages.
Acting CEO of Alice Springs Town Council Nicole Battle said the Council was proud to support the event.
“The Alice Springs Masters Games is one of the highlights of our calendar, bringing people together and showcasing our community,” she said.
Minister Boothby said events like the Masters Games play an important role in supporting the Territory economy and lifestyle.
“We are backing events like this because they bring people together, support local businesses and give Territorians more to see and do,” she said.
“In our year of growth, certainty and security, we are delivering major events and restoring our Territory lifestyle.”
The 2026 Alice Springs Masters Games will feature more than 25 sports, including athletics, netball, cycling, mountain biking and pickleball.
