Shots fired at Eagle Farm, QLD

Hendra Criminal Investigation Branch detectives are investigating after shots were fired at a vehicle at Eagle Farm last night (October 11).

At approximately 8.40pm, police responding to an unrelated traffic crash at Nundah were approached by a 33-year-old man in a white Hyundai iLoad van, who advised his vehicle had been shot at while travelling northbound on Southern Cross Way.

Initial investigations indicate approximately two shots were fired at the vehicle, damaging a door and shattering a window.

The 33-year-old man was not physically injured.

The vehicle has been seized for forensic examination, with an investigation now underway.

Initial enquiries indicate it is not a random incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Police appeal to anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time to come forward.
