Shots fired during break-in – Whalan

An investigation is underway after shots were fired during a break and enter in Sydney’s west overnight.

Just after 1am (Sunday 3 September 2023), police were called to a home on Torres Crescent, Whalan, following reports of a public place shooting.

Police have been told two adults were inside when they heard glass smashing and gun shots. The pair were reportedly not injured and fled the home.

Detectives from Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, with damage sustained to the front of the home.

An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
