Single-vehicle fatal crash – Revesby

A teenage boy has died following a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south west overnight.

About 11.30pm (Friday 15 December 2023), emergency services were called to the M5, Revesby, following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were told the Mitsubishi EVO was reportedly travelling eastbound when it lost control and collided with guard rail before catching alight.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended, and the driver – a 17-year-old boy – was declared deceased.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze which had spread to nearby trees and grass.

A crime scene was established with the eastbound lanes closed while it was forensically examined.

An investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
