Sixth person charged after investigation into drug supply, NSW

A sixth person has been arrested as part of a collaborative investigation by NSW and South Australia Police into the distribution of illicit drugs.

In April 2019, Strike Force Arrellah was established by State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad as a joint operation with South Australia Police (SAPOL) to investigate the alleged supply of cocaine.

On Wednesday (16 October 2019), a man and a woman in Sydney and three men in Adelaide were arrested in relation to the supply or trafficking of a prohibited drug.

The 41-year-old woman will be extradited to South Australia tomorrow (Saturday 19 October 2019) where she is expected to face drug related charges.

In Sydney, four search warrants were also executed, including a property on O’Neill Street, Guildford.

When officers attached to Strike Force Arrellah arrived at that location, a man, believed to be an occupant, was seen running from the premises.

About 6.45am today (Friday 18 October 2019), a 34-year old man was arrested at Bankstown Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug.

Police will allege that earlier this month the man supplied another man with an amount of cocaine.

The man was bail refused at Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 18 October 2019) to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 6 November 2019.

Investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information that may assist Strike Force Arrellah investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
