One of Australia’s most-loved live acts, Sneaky Sound System, will headline Townsville’s Australia vs Brazil Street Party, with the blockbuster match also to be streamed live across three locations on Flinders Street.
The Street Party headline act is delivered by Tourism and Events Queensland and supported by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
Thousands of football fans are expected to descend on the city for the free community celebration from 3pm on 25 September, ahead of the CommBank Socceroos taking on Brazil at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
With the game already nearing a sell-out, fans without tickets won’t miss a minute of the action.
The match will be shown live on giant screens across Flinders Street, alongside street bars, food vendors, market stalls, family-friendly activities and local entertainment.
The free Australia vs Brazil Street Party will run from 3pm on match day on Flinders Street, featuring Sneaky Sound System, local entertainment, food vendors, street bars, market stalls and activities for all ages before fans make their way to Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
Sneaky Sound System will take to the stage from 6pm, capping off an afternoon of football, music and community celebration.
