Snowy Monaro Regional Council extends congratulations and a warm welcome aboard to our new Councillor, Craig Mitchell.
The NSW Electoral Commission completed a countback of ballot papers this morning, reallocating retiring Councillor John Castellari’s preferences between the ten eligible candidates.
Following the completion of this process, the NSW Electoral Commission has confirmed Craig Mitchell as the successfully elected candidate and our new Councillor.
The next step in this process is the induction session and swearing-in ceremony, on dates to be announced soon.
The countback election was triggered due to the casual vacancy arising following the resignation of Councillor John Castellari earlier this year.
