South Australia coronovirus update as at 15 April 2020

There have been no new cases of COVID-19 today. The total number of cases in South Australia remains at 433.

To date, 279 people have been cleared of COVID-19.

There have been four reported deaths in SA from COVID-19.

A 68-year-old male is currently in intensive care at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.

SA Pathology has undertaken more than 37,500 tests for COVID-19 so far.

From tomorrow, any South Australian who has a fever or respiratory symptoms consistent with COVID-19, no matter how mild, is encouraged to attend a COVID-19 clinic or their GP, for assessment and testing.

The testing blitz will last for two weeks and will give symptomatic South Australians the reassurance they are not infected, while also providing public health clinicians greater understanding of the prevalence of the virus within the state.
