South Australia coronovirus update as at 19 December 2020

There have been no new cases of COVID-19 today. There have been a total of 563 cases notified in South Australia.

South Australians who have visited the Northern Beaches LGA, Lavender Bay suburb or Penrith suburb since 11 December must immediately quarantine for 14 days and get tested, and then undertake a test on day five and day 12.

Anyone who has visited the following locations cannot enter SA, and must enter hotel quarantine if they have already arrived in SA:

  • Avalon Bowling Club, Sunday 13 December 5pm-7pm and Tuesday 15 December 3pm-5pm
  • Avalon Beach RSL Club, Friday 11 December 2020

All South Australians who have symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested on the day symptoms appear. Symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills (in the absence of an alternative illness that explains these symptoms)
  • An acute respiratory infection e.g. cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath
  • Loss of smell or alteration in the sense of taste
