South Australia Covid update as at 22 December 2021

There have been 198 new cases of COVID-19 reported today. There have been 1,747 cases reported in South Australia to date.

Today’s cases are 18 children, nine teenagers, 89 women aged between 18 and 99 and 82 males aged between 18 and 93.

Of these, 33 cases acquired their infection in South Australia and are known contacts of a positive case, one case acquired their infection in South Australia with the contact unknown, 15 cases acquired their infection interstate, and 149 cases are under investigation.

Two men in their 30s and 60s and three women in their 20s, 30s and 90s are at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

We encourage anyone who has been out in the community to monitor closely for symptoms and get tested as soon as soon as they appear.
