South Australian Tourism Commission board appointments

The Marshall Liberal Government is pleased to announce today, the appointment of Ms Jayne Flaherty and Ms Annie Mitchell to the South Australian Tourism Commission’s Board of Directors.

Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment David Ridgway said both Ms Flaherty and Ms Mitchell will bring extensive experience to the SATC board.

Ms Flaherty is General Manager of Government and Policy at the RAA, while Ms Mitchell is Senior Marketing Manager at Bank SA.

“Both bring with them a wealth of experience that I am confident will help further drive positive results for South Australia’s visitor economy.

“I would like to thank outgoing SATC Board members Ms Judith Griggs, Ms Jayne Bates and Ms Jo Collins, for their significant contribution over the past three years.

“I am also pleased to announce the reappointment of Mr Mark Young as Managing Director of Adelaide Airport.

“South Australia’s $7.2 billion tourism industry employs 36,000 people across 18,000 businesses.

“It is vital we have strong leadership in this important area, to continue to promote South Australia interstate and around the world.

“I look forward to working with Ms Flaherty and Ms Mitchell to ensure South Australia is in the best position to grow our visitor economy,” Minister Ridgway said.
