Southern suburbs man arrested for child sex offences

Today, Detectives from the Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team (JACET), a partnership between SAPOL’s Public Protection Branch and the Australian Federal Police, arrested a 31-year-old man from the southern suburbs of Adelaide with child sex offences.

The man was charged with 13 counts of procuring a child for sexual activity and possessing child exploitation material. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Lyons, Officer in Charge Special Crimes Investigation Section said, “We will continue to work tirelessly to rescue children from this offending. Our officers are relentless in their efforts to detect and prosecute criminals involved in committing these types of heinous crimes.”

“If you think you are safe because you’re using anonymising technologies, think again. We will use any tool available to find you and put you before the courts.”
