Creative ideas are set to burst into life across Campaspe Shire, with applications for the SPARK – Arts & Cultural Grants Program 2027 opening on 19 October.
Campaspe Shire Council is inviting artists, creatives, community groups and cultural organisations to apply for grants from $5,000 up to $10,000, with a total funding pool of $50,000 available to bring projects to life across the region.
Designed to spark creativity, connection and cultural expression, the program supports new artworks, creative activations and initiatives that celebrate the unique stories, people and places of Campaspe Shire.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell said the grants were an investment in the region’s creative future.
“Art and culture help bring communities together, tell our stories and make our region a vibrant place to live and visit,” Cr Mackrell said.
“SPARK is all about turning great ideas into reality. Whether you’re an emerging artist with a fresh concept, a creative collective with a bold vision, or a community group planning something special, we encourage you to apply.”
The program supports a broad range of creative disciplines, including visual arts, music, performance, literature, digital arts, community arts and cultural practice.
Potential projects could include public art installations, exhibitions, performances, workshops, youth-led storytelling projects and interactive community experiences – just to name a few.
“This program celebrates the incredible creative talent we have right here in Campaspe,” Cr Mackrell said.
“By supporting local artists and creative projects, we’re helping foster cultural connections, create memorable experiences and strengthen our communities.”
Projects funded through the program must be delivered within Campaspe Shire between 4 January and 26 November 2027.
Applications open on Monday, 19 October 2026 and close at 5pm on Friday, 20 November 2026, with successful applicants notified by Monday, 21 December 2026.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to speak with Council’s Arts & Culture team before applying to discuss their ideas and confirm their eligibility.
