A 31-year-old man was allegedly caught driving more than double the speed limit in Hoppers Crossing on Sunday, 17 March.
Werribee Police were on patrol when they observed a Harley Davidson motorbike allegedly doing 143km/hr in a 60km/hr zone along Princes Highway between Sneydes and Derrimut Road about 12.40am.
The rider is expected to be charged on summons with a number of driving offences including driver manner dangerous and exceed speed limit.
His vehicle was also impounded for a period of 30 days, at a cost of $1006,10.
