Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) has launched its first-ever children’s activity book as part of National Children’s Week, aiming to teach young Australians about ethical behaviour and integrity in sport.
Designed for children aged 5–8, the activity book features fun and engaging exercises that introduce important lessons about positive conduct and values in sport.
A lucky group of primary school students were among the first to trial the new resource. Their smiles and excitement said it all as they explored the book during a special launch event with SIA team member Luke Kensey.
SIA Acting CEO Dr Sarah Benson said the book reflects the agency’s core values and plays an important role in safeguarding young athletes.

“Today’s children and young athletes are the ones who will shape and define the sporting landscape for the future,” said Dr Benson.
“Engraining these crucial lessons in ethics, positive behaviour and safeguarding practices at the grassroots level will ensure we are building a safer and more inclusive sporting environment for all.”
Eight-year-old Milly, an aspiring swimmer and netballer, said the book captured the essence of what she loves about sport and helped her feel confident in knowing when and how to speak up.
“The colouring activities were a lot of fun and I liked learning about what is and isn’t okay, and how I can ask for help if I need it,” said Milly.
Senior Educator and former schoolteacher Nathan Williamson highlighted the book’s value in promoting a strong foundation of integrity and safety for young athletes.
“Education is integral to protecting sport for all of its participants and members, but that doesn’t just start at the elite level,” said Mr Williamson.
“By engaging in these activities from a young age, children are developing crucial problem-solving skills and enhancing their self-confidence”.
“In addition to this, children are learning that Sport Integrity Australia is there to support them too and will always be a safe space for them to raise their concerns.”
The activity book will be distributed at upcoming SIA education outreach events across the country.
