Sports stars, coaches and contributors to sports across the region will receive the limelight at the Tamworth Regional Sports Awards.
The awards recognise the region’s proud, strong and diverse sporting culture and celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, clubs and associations in our community.
The event will be at 5pm on Thursday 25 November, 2021 at the Tamworth Town Hall. Nominations are now open for the 10 awards on offer across a range of individual and group categories.
Council’s Sport & Recreation Development Officer, Blake Mammarella said it has been a difficult year for many sports and it’s an important time to recognise achievements.
“Many sports have been affected this year due to lockdowns and health orders which have led to disrupted seasons and fluctuating participation rates. It is more important than ever to recognise the outstanding achievements of sporting stars across the region. If you know someone or a team who has excelled in the sporting arena this year, make sure you nominate them for an award.”

The performance qualifying period for the awards is from 1 January to 13 October, 2021.
