Spring clean and help good cause

Declutter your home, and help someone in need in our community by dropping off everyday household items at the Brimbank Reusable Goods Drop-off Day.

Brimbank residents can conveniently drop-off their unwanted household items for reuse or recycling at this no-charge event on Saturday 11 December, 8am-1pm, at Victoria University, 438-460 Ballarat Road, Sunshine North. Enter via Phoenix Street.

Items in good condition will be donated to local charities, West Welcome Wagon which supports asylum seekers, and Australian Red Cross. During the COVID-19 pandemic these charities have experienced a rise in requests for support and a decline in goods donated due to lockdown restrictions.

This is a no-charge event where residents can drop off items like televisions, computers, electronic appliances, whitegoods, furniture (in good condition), bicycles (in good condition), homewares, clothes and linen. Please don’t drop off hazardous items.

There is a maximum of eight items per household and residents need to bring their rates notice or drivers licence to confirm their address.
