Detectives from Major Collision Investigation unit are appealing for information following a collision in Springvale South this evening.
Investigators have been told a girl was hit by a blue BMW station wagon on Golden Grove about 5pm.
The girl suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The male driver of the BMW is currently assisting police with their enquires.
