SSMF Grants To Researchers At Labmed

Three researchers at the Department of Laboratory Medicine have been awarded nearly SEK 20 million from Svenska Sällskapet för Medicinsk Forskning (SSMF) 2026 for innovative projects on the role of the immune system in cancer, the brain’s glial cells and the development of NK cell memory.

Andri Lemarquis , Division of Biomolecular and Cellular Medicine

Project title: Återuppbyggnad av cancerimmunitet genom nybildade T-celler.

Amount: SEK 8 000 000

Karl Carlström , Division of Clinical Immunology

Project title: Samspel mellan metabolism och epigenetik i hjärnans gliaceller.

Amount: SEK 8 000 000

SSMF Postdoctoral Grant 2026

Yizhe Sun , Division of Pathology

Project title: Avkodning av de molekylära programmen för tumörassocierad NK-cellminnesutveckling och återkallningssvar genom integrerad CRISPR-screening med UMI-baserad upplösning.
