The State Government has released the Sunshine Precinct Opportunity Statement which sets out the State Government’s vision and framework for achieving transformational outcomes for the area.
The Statement aligns strongly with Brimbank Council’s Sunshine Priority Precinct Vision 2050, which was first endorsed by Council in August 2020.
The Precinct Opportunity Statement sets out:
The State Government Vision for the Precinct: Sunshine will be the centre of Melbourne’s booming west. A dense and vibrant urban environment, the precinct will provide high quality, affordable housing and strong employment growth.
The relevant State Government boundaries
- The State Government’s goals and objectives for the area, and
- Employment and residential population forecasts and targets for 2051.
