Statement from City of Ballarat CEO Janet Dore

Please attribute to City of Ballarat CEO Janet Dore –

Neville Ivey has made the decision not to apply for any of the new Director positions and will be leaving the organisation on 4 September.

Neville has been with the City of Ballarat for 11 years. In that time, he has served as Director of his Division, as acting CEO and, importantly, as head of the City of Ballarat’s Pandemic Taskforce.

In his time with the City of Ballarat, Neville has been instrumental in lobbying state and federal governments to secure funding for projects such as Ballarat’s award-winning Victoria Park Inclusive Play Space.

Neville has also worked diligently with the community to develop crucial infrastructure for Ballarat in the area of sports, libraries and early years. These initiatives include Mars Stadium, Ballarat Regional Soccer Facility, Sebastopol Library, Lucas Community Hub, Bonshaw Early Learning Centre and the Girrabanya Integrated Children’s Centre, to name a few.

I would like to thank Neville for the significant contribution he has made to the organisation.

An Expression of Interest process will be advertised internally for the acting Director Community Wellbeing while recruitment and selection are finalised for the new Director roles.
