Statement from the Australian Council of Social Service following the Bondi Junction attacks

The Australian Council of Social Service is profoundly saddened by the shocking attacks at Bondi Junction over the weekend.

Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, loved ones and communities. We mourn the loss of precious lives, and the devastating harm and profound impact these events have had on so many. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to everyone affected, including those who remain in hospital, those who were first responders and those who were immediately affected by these horrifying events.

Our hearts are with our community as we come together to find strength and solace following this tragedy.

It is in these times that it is so important to reach out, seek support and to act with love and care for each other and across our communities.
