Stolen car used in violent Doncaster home invasion located

Police have located a stolen car used by three offenders in an aggravated home invasion in Doncaster last week.

The stolen blue / silver coloured Lexus, which was used by the trio to come and go from the violent incident in Ruthmullen Quadrant on 21 June, was located in Wittig Street, Doncaster, following an appeal for information yesterday.

The vehicle was seized by police as evidence and will undergo forensic testing.

Whilst the vehicle has been located, detectives from Manningham Crime Investigation Unit continue to appeal for assistance to identify the three male offenders involved in the incident.

It is understood the offenders, armed with knives, a taser, knuckle dusters and a hammer, assaulted three male residents at the property, then left with cash and mobile phones.

Detective Senior Constable Trevor Reitman said the community had been of great assistance to investigators.

“We want to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance in helping us to locate the stolen car used in this violent home invasion.

“Finding the vehicle is a vital part of our investigation as we continue to search for the three offenders.

“We are working to establish the exact circumstances around the incident, and I’d urge anyone with any information to contact Crime Stoppers.”

CCTV was released in the hope that someone recognises the men and can provide information on their whereabouts.
