Officers from the Tablelands Property Crime Unit, Tablelands Criminal Investigation Branch and Mareeba Rural and Stock Crime Squad have charged a 50-year-old Deeral man with several weapons and property offences.
It will be alleged overnight on 18 July, the man stole equipment from a Dimbulah mine site.
A search warrant was executed at an Arriga address on 31 July, where police allegedly located a loaded rifle, ammunition, cannabis plants and the stolen property.
He was charged with two counts of trespass, and one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence, unlawful possession of stolen property, unlawful possession of a category B weapon, firearms to be kept unloaded other than when being used to shoot, authority required to possess explosives, and producing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on 17 August.
