Stolen vehicle and dangerous driving charges at Arundel, QLD

Police have charged four people after an allegedly stolen vehicle was intercepted at Arundel last night, June 26.

It will be alleged a 2013 Toyota 86 Coupe was stolen from a Monmouth property in Morningside, Brisbane, on the evening of June 25.

At approximately 8pm last night, the vehicle was allegedly seen driving dangerously southbound on the Pacific Motorway at Parkwood.

With the assistance from PolAir, the vehicle was tracked for a period of time before a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed along Brisbane Road at Arundel.

The car continued travelling before being abandoned along Country Close, where the four alleged occupants left on foot.

Officers, including the Dog Squad, were able to take the four occupants into custody nearby a short time later.

An 18-year-old Nerang woman has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

She was refused police bail and is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today, June 27.

A 15-year-old Kingston girl has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, possess drug utensils, unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 17-year-old Eagleby boy has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 16-year-old Tanah Merah girl has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

They were all refused police bail and are due to face Southport Childrens Court at a later date.
