Strassman returns to Griffith with his sweet new show

International comedy star David Strassman returns to Griffith Regional Theatre on Friday, 15 November 2019 at 7pm with his brand-new show, The Chocolate Diet.

The Chocolate Diet is a hilarious look at our obsession with sweets and lollies, a send up of our failed diets, and Ted E. Bare’s drama with his self-image and lifelong eating issues.

The problem is getting worse and Ted E. Bare can’t get the support he needs, especially with the sneaky Chuck Wood leaving tempting donuts around. Meanwhile Chuck has his own personal drama, a sneaking suspicion that he was carved into the wrong body.

Since his early performances in the 1990s, Strassman has been embraced in Australia. He has just released his latest critically acclaimed show on DVD and download, iTED E, a puppet portrayal about our internet addiction that saw Strassman and all his puppets in a mind blowing, six-way conversation.

Griffith Regional Theatre Manager, Raina Savage said, “Strassman is a tour de force in the world of ventriloquism. Now it’s Griffith’s turn to experience Strassman’s uproarious comedy with those infamous favourites, the loveable Ted E. Bare and the evil Chuck Wood.”

Strassman said, “I love making audiences laugh and this new show, The Chocolate Diet, is probably my funniest to date. It’s also quite delicious, and fattening!”

The Chocolate Diet will delight audiences with side-splitting comedy and jaw dropping Puppetronics! It’s the ultimate great night out.
