Strike Force Raptor charge man after $110,000 cash, cocaine and GBL seized, NSW

Strike Force Raptor investigators have charged a man with commercial drug supply after seizing more than $110,000 cash, cocaine and other prohibited drugs in south-west Sydney.

As part of ongoing targeting and disruption of the illicit activities of criminal networks, police from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor, executed a search warrant at a home in Greenacre about 7am yesterday (Wednesday 12 February 2020).

During the search, officers seized more than $110,000 cash, more than 470g of cocaine, more than 53kg of liquid gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), eight mobile phones, a baton, prescription medication and documents.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), deal with property proceeds of crime and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

Police will allege in court that the man was involved in the supply of more than 528g of MDMA in March 2019.

The man was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Thursday 13 February 2020).
