The Joint Emergency Communication Centre received reports around 8:20pm that a commercial structure was engulfed in flames along the Stuart Highway, Pinelands.
Emergency services attended, and NTFRS crews were able to bring the blaze under control.
The shed sustained significant damage to the roof, and a vehicle inside the premises was also damaged.
There were no occupants in the building at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.
Watch Commander Cucchiaro said, “This is an example of the community seeing a fire and making sure to report it immediately.
“Thanks to the actions of the bystander, the incident was reported promptly, and fire crews were able to attend quickly, minimising the damage to surrounding business structures.”
