The Bayside Student Excellence Awards were presented to local school students at a ceremony in the Rockdale Town Hall on Wednesday 22 November 2023.
Thirty-four local schools participated in the Mayoral Student Awards this year. This prestigious award recognises students who have demonstrated kindness, respect for others and go above and beyond to positively contribute to their school community.
“These Awards, sponsored by Bayside Council promote excellence in local schools,” Mayor Bill Saravinovski said.
“We do this by recognizing students who have displayed exceptional leadership qualities or excelled in their academic studies, chosen sport, or the arts,”
Each year Bayside Council invites Principals from the 42 Bayside schools – primary and secondary – to nominate students for the Student Excellence Awards.
