Students get moving for Active April

The City of Ballarat is recognising the city’s most active students, who participated in the Active Ballarat Passport.

As part of Active April, the City of Ballarat launched the Active Ballarat Passport, encouraging year three and four students to log their activity time, screen time and the amount of vegetables they ate each day throughout the month of April.

About 1,000 students from seven schools participated in the initiative, including Buninyong, Beaufort, Black Hill, Pleasant Street, Ballarat Clarendon College, Forest Street and Ballarat Grammar Primary Schools.

All students will receive a participation certificate while the students with the highest activity rates will receive a range of prizes from the Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre (BALC), AFL tickets from the Western Bulldogs and items from Intersport Ballarat.

The Active Ballarat Passport is an extension of the 2018 Walk to School pilot passport program.
