Suburban Rail Loop to stop in Cheltenham

The Suburban Rail Loop is part of the Victorian Government’s Big Build and will link every major railway line from Frankston to Werribee via the airport, providing important travel connections to employment, health, education and retail centres in Melbourne’s middle suburbs.

The Suburban Rail Loop will reshape the way we live and move around Melbourne and will bring areas around the new train stations to life, triggering investment, enhancing amenity and increasing connectivity to the rest of Melbourne.

The broad alignment and precinct locations for Suburban Rail Loop Stage One have been confirmed, with underground stations surrounded by emerging and developing precincts at Cheltenham, Clayton, Monash, Glen Waverley, Burwood and Box Hill.

The final route and station locations are subject to detailed analysis, stakeholder engagement and engineering investigations.
