Successful Community & Environment Grant Recipients Announced

City of Darwin has today named the successful recipients of the Community and Environment Grants.

Each year City of Darwin allocates $150,000 through the Community Grants and Climate Change and Environment Grants.

In the current round of grants $100,000 has been awarded to 22 dedicated and deserving community organisations to provide community and environment programs.

Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis congratulated the successful grant recipients “Since 2001 City of Darwin has provided nearly $2M in grants to community and not for profit organisations.

“With our support these organisations have been able to develop programs that contribute to positive community and environmental outcomes for our community.

City of Darwin’s Grants Program provides financial support to programs that promote a safe, liveable and healthy city that is vibrant, creative and inclusive.

Grants for the second round of Community Grants, totalling $50,000 open 21 September, 2019, for projects taking place between 1 January and 30 June 2020.
